5 Ways to Get Around the “No Painting Rule” in Your Apartment

With more and more apartments now implementing a “no painting rule”, there’s no need to worry! You can still make your apartment look just as good without painting. We’re sharing 5 options to spruce up your walls that are temporary, easily removable, and don’t involve painting! As always, check with your landlord first.

1. Temporary Wallpaper

Use all over a room or for an accent wall.

2. Temporary Tile

We’ve heard good and bad stories about removable tile, so use your own discretion.

3. Wall Stickers/Decals

Add some design to your room with some wall stickers or decals like these awesome floral print decals below.

4. Washi Tape

Create the look of frames at an inexpensive price by using washi tape like below. You can also use washi tape to create designs on the walls, like the lattice look below.

5. Fill the Wall

Use oversized art or a photo collage to fill the walls.

Whatever you decide to do, make it your own! There are so many more ideas out there. Check out our Apartment Living Pinterest board for more pins like these! Don’t forget to check with your landlord prior to trying any of these. Happy decorating!
