Summer is almost here and you know what that means, it’s grilling season. Whether you’re a veggie lover or a carnivore, grilling is the perfect way to give your food that extra flavor while still enjoying the fresh summer air! We’re sharing some of our favorite tips and some great recipes for the grill this summer.
Choose your grill:
Where you live, what you are grilling and where you are grilling at are all factors to consider when choosing your grill. Depending on the apartment or home you live in, and what you are wanting to cook, some grills work better than others. You can choose from charcoal, electric, or gas grills. Keep in mind, in some apartment buildings, gas or charcoal grills are not allowed. See the city of Madison grill guidelines here.
Choose Your Utensils:
Once you know what you’re grilling on, you will need the appropriate tools. Skewers, grill baskets and/or foil, spatula, tongs, meat fork, marinade brush, meat thermometer, knife, and plate are some of the items that will be useful.
Make a Plan:
You have your grill and your utensils, now it’s time to make a plan. Figure out what food you want to grill and how you will go about cooking them. Cook the items that take the longest first. Take a look at some of our recipes below that will help you plan out your grilling session.
