We are happy to announce the Avenue Club as our guest blogger for this week’s post. The Avenue Club & Bubble Up Bar is located at 1128 E. Washington Avenue, just down the street from our Galaxie and Constellation luxury high-rise apartment buildings.
At The Avenue Club & Bubble Up Bar we are all about tradition. This winter, the additions to our specialty cocktail menu are no exception. All of our drinks are adaptations of classic American cocktails from the Sidecar to the Manhattan; but with the arrival of the cold season, we wanted our new libations to warm your soul whether by The Avenue Lounge’s firepit or afterward taking in the amazing view from the Galaxie’s Community Patio. We at MPM are excited to be collaborating again with the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art for this week’s blog post. The MMoCA is located at 227 State Street. Exhibition hours are Tuesday-Thursday, 12-5 pm; Friday 12-8 pm; Saturday 10 am-8 pm; and Sunday 12-5 pm. Museum admission is free.
The Madison Museum of Contemporary Art recently added an exciting and interactive dimension to the museum Rooftop Sculpture Garden: Meg Mitchell’s Tenacious Numismatic Hops Exchange (TNHE): a hop garden for unyielding people. Familiarly referred to as the Hops Exchange, Mitchell’s sculptural installation is composed of six twenty-foot-tall aluminum beams that support the growth of hop plants. This site-specific, living artwork combines the visual language of industrial construction with an ethic of social engagement. Continue reading →
It’s that time of year. You’ve just moved into your apartment, are finally settling in, and suddenly you’re already being asked about renewing your lease for the 2018-2019 lease term! You may be thinking “I don’t even know if I’m going to like who I’m living with or where I’m living now, so how am I supposed to choose for next year already?”. We totally understand!
Madison’s campus area market is a unique one. Almost all apartments in the campus area begin leasing for the following fall nearly 11 months in advance. It seems crazy, we know, but MPM adheres to this schedule in order to be as fair and efficient as possible for our residents and property owners.
Whether you are living alone and want to meet some of your neighbors, or you live with your friends and you all want to make some new friends, meeting new people in your apartment community is easier than you may think!
Introduce Yourselves to Your Neighbors
Don’t be shy. Say hi and introduce yourselves while in the hallway, getting your mail, in the parking area, or even walking your dog. Spark up a conversation or at least exchange names so that you can have a conversation in the future.
Summer is coming to an end, but we have one more chance at a last hoorah before it’s back to school. This weekend is Labor Day weekend and there are many fun and exciting events going on in the Madison area! We’ve put together a list of what to do, from music to food to exercise.
