Independence Day commemorates the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4th, 1776. Most people associate the 4th of July with parades, carnivals, baseball games, family celebrations, and most importantly, fireworks! With Rhythm and Booms no longer being put on in the Madison area, we’ve rounded up local options for your fireworks fix, as well as other celebrations in the Madison area for 2017’s 4th of July!
Saturday, June 24th – Shake the Lake

Monday, July 3rd – Stoughton’s 3rd of July Fireworks

Saturday, July 1st – Sauk Prairie Fire on the River

Tuesday, July 4th – Shorewood Hills Fireworks
Live music and other fun on Monday, July 3rd. July 4th is a day of fun activities, including a softball game, art fair, parade and more, ending the night with an awesome fireworks display at Blackhawk Country Club at dusk. Find out more information about the events here.
Tuesday, July 4th – Maple Bluff Fest on Fourth
Family fun activities and parade during the day. Fireworks at dusk on the lake.
Tuesday, July 4th – Monona Community Festival

Tuesday, July 4th – Waunakee Waunaboom
